SUGGESTED MATERIALS

For sewing a T-shirt, choose fabric with a low content of elastane: soft jersey knit, interlock.
We recommend to use JERSEY or STRETCH needle for your sewing machine. Use Double Needle to finish a hem.
In case you don’t have serger you can use any stretching stitch on your sewing machine: Zigzag or special stretch stitch.

When buying fabric, keep in mind that the material can shrink, so take with a margin of 5-10%.

SEWING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Pin Front and Back details along the shoulder edges right sides together. Serge or stitch on sewing machine using Zigzag stitch. Press seam allowances to the back.

2. Fold the neckband in half right sides together and pin its short edges. Serge it. Press seam allowances. Fold the neckband in half along the long edge (wrong side together) and press it.

3. Pin the neckband to the neckline right sides together, aligning the notches: divide the neckband and the neckline into 4 equal parts ( fold in half, make 2 marks, then align these 2 marks and make 2 more marks). Serge in, stretching the neckband a little.

4. Make rolled hem on serger along rounded edge on sleeve.

5. Make 2 parallel stitches on sleeve along straight edge (stitch length 4-5, tension 2).

6. Make gathering. You can find the required length on the sleeve sewing pattern.

7. Pin the sleeve into the open armhole right sides together, aligning the notches. Serge in. Press seam allowances to garment.

8. Pin Front and Back details along the side edges right sides together. Serge it. Press seam allowances to the back.

9. Fold the bottom hem of the garment to 1.5 cm and pin it. Stitch it on sewing machine using Zigzag or Twin needles. Press it.
